In this time of uncertainty occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic, our hearts go out to all who have been affected by the outbreak of coronavirus.

At Friends Of The Earth Grenada, we believe it is important for everyone to prioritize the health and well-being and safety of the general public while also playing a constructive role in supporting local, regional and international health authorities as they work to contain the virus.

We urge you and your loved ones to keep taking actions that will help prevent the spread of the virus and support the health and well-being of our communities. Consequently, we urge you to stay vigilant and observe social distancing.

You can reduce your risk of being infected by observing basic elements of proper hygiene, such as:

Washing your hands frequently with soap and water especially after using the restroom

Using alcohol-based hand sanitizer when water is not available

Coughing and sneezing into a tissue or flexed elbow

Disposing of any tissues you have used in a waste basket

Refraining from touching your mouth, nose, or eyes with unwashed hands

Using disinfectants to clean your phone, door handles, TV remotes, electronics, toilets, etc
